This is a 1956 style tank but will work on the the 1955 Ford Thunderbird if you install the sender before installing the tank.

There is no need to paint or coat the tank with any kind of sealant. It is corrosion resistant just like the original. Tank is ready to install!

Note: There is an option to add the compatible sending unit, straps (pads and universal bolts) and tank pad by checking "Yes." in the appropriate boxes.
