Power Brake Booster Pin Depth Gauge Adjustment Tool

This tool is used for adjusting the clearance between the brake master cylinder piston and the brake booster push rod on the front of the power booster. This is designed to measure the depth of the master cylinder bore in order to adjust the length of the booster push rod pin. This ensures proper brake feel and prevents issues like brake drag and excessive pedal travel. By setting the brake depth, the booster and master work together. Tool is aluminum, rod and knurled knob are stainless steel. Short side (rounded end) measures the master cylinder, long side measures the booster. Basic instructions included.

Brake Drag: If the push rod is too long, it can keep the master cylinder pistons partially engaged, leading to brake drag.

Excessive Pedal Travel: If the push rod is too short, it can result in excessive pedal travel before the brakes engage.
